The Human Resources Administrative Specialist plays a crucial role in managing HR data and reporting within the Workday HCM system. This position is responsible for entering various HR transactions, ensuring compliance with company guidelines and legal requirements, and providing essential reports to the HR and Operations teams. The specialist will work closely with these teams to track and report on key HR metrics such as absenteeism, turnover, and employee referrals. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can manage data accurately and efficiently while also serving as a point of contact for employees and management regarding HRIS-related inquiries. In addition to data entry and reporting, the HR Administrative Specialist will oversee the unemployment process, ensuring that all necessary documentation is submitted and entered into the appropriate systems. The role also involves training supervisors and managers on the functionalities of the Workday HCM system, validating I-9 documentation for new hires, and identifying opportunities for process improvements. The specialist will be expected to promote safety initiatives within the workplace and maintain a culture of zero accidents. This position does not have supervisory responsibilities, making it an individual contributor role that requires strong functional and technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and interpersonal savvy. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in a human resources environment, preferably with experience in HCM systems like Workday.
