About the position

The HR Administrator at Rapiscan Systems will provide comprehensive administrative support for the Torrance, CA and Andover, MA facilities. This role involves coordinating onboarding and offboarding processes, maintaining accurate records, and supporting HR-related programs. The HR Administrator will act as a liaison between employees and the benefits team, assist with employee relations matters, and ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws. The focus is on delivering high-quality customer service and responsiveness to employee needs while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate & process onboarding and offboarding.
  • Support administrative processes related to HR.
  • Maintain accurate electronic and physical records.
  • Assist with HR related programs.
  • Investigate and address employee complaints in a timely manner.
  • Conduct regular and temporary employee terminations including exit interviews.
  • Provide reception area support, covering breaks and absences.
  • Coordinate employee activities such as luncheons and parties.
  • Be the liaison between management and the Talent Acquisition team for requisition requests.
  • Complete all unemployment requests.
  • Regular and ad-hoc reporting to support the HR team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field required.
  • Some HR experience in a fast-paced environment highly desired.
  • Familiar with California employment laws, LOAs, and IRPs.
  • Knowledge of Global HRIS applications.
  • Proficient in business applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and lead projects.
  • Detail-oriented with a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to communicate effectively using various modes of communication.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a multi-project, multiple-priority atmosphere.
  • Experience with employee data analysis.
