About the position

The Human Resources Analyst A/B/C/Specialist position at the Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority (CPRA) in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, involves performing a variety of human resources functions within a small HR team. The role includes conducting new hire orientations, processing employee actions, monitoring training, assisting with performance evaluations, and implementing an electronic filing system. This position may be filled as either a Probational or a temporary Job Appointment, with the potential for conversion to a Probational Appointment based on funding availability.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct new hire orientation and ensure all paperwork is complete and accurate
  • Process employee actions in LaGov such as hires, transfers, promotions, etc.
  • Monitor training of employees in LMS (SuccessFactors)
  • Assist with the Performance Evaluation System (PES)/ Continuous Performance Management (CPM) program
  • Assist with implementing the new Human Resources electronic filing system (RIMS)
  • Correspond with employees via phone or email to assist with any HR needs
  • May also assist with a variety of HR duties, including payroll.

Requirements

  • A baccalaureate degree
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

  • LaGov experience (preferred, but not required)
