The position involves a range of responsibilities related to human resources and personnel administration within the County. Duties include managing major projects such as classification and salary audits, conducting salary surveys, and providing direction and recommendations regarding County policies. The role also encompasses dispute resolution, contract compliance, and acting as a liaison for satellite Human Resources operations. Additionally, the position administers the County's drug and alcohol testing program, researches relevant legislation and case law, and develops and updates County Rules & Regulations to ensure compliance with Federal and State laws. Training for both management and non-management employees is also a key responsibility, along with participation in employer-employee relations activities and counseling employees on personnel issues. The role requires assistance in recruitment and selection processes, administration of the DOJ live scan process, and the development of job specifications and salary placements. The HR Analyst will also be involved in staffing modifications, compliance with various employment laws, and preparation of Board agenda items and other county documents.
