About the position

The Human Resources Analyst I position in the Recruitment and Talent Acquisition Division of the City of Henderson's Department of Human Resources is responsible for managing all phases of the recruitment and selection processes. This role involves developing innovative recruitment strategies and collaborating with department hiring managers and subject matter experts to ensure effective talent acquisition. The position requires analytical and technical skills in human resources, with a focus on public sector recruitment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and administer all phases of the recruitment and selection processes.
  • Create innovative recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates.
  • Collaborate with department hiring managers and subject matter experts to understand hiring needs.
  • Perform analytical and technical human resources work in various areas of the Human Resources Department.
  • Assist in the development of eligibility lists for future vacancies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Business or Public Administration, or a closely related field.
  • Two years of progressively responsible experience in talent acquisition/recruitment or employee and labor relations in a human resources department.
  • Valid Nevada or border state driver's license.
  • Ability to pass a nationwide fingerprint-based records check and a wants/warrants check.
  • Completion of Security Awareness and NCIC/NV Criminal Justice Information System certification within six months of hire.

Nice-to-haves

  • Public sector human resources experience.
  • Union and non-union recruiting experience.
  • Certification as a human resources professional by SHRM or PSHRA/IPMA-HR.
