The Superior Court of California, County of Alameda is seeking applications for the position of HR Analyst II (Integrated Disability Management Coordinator) within the Human Resources Division. This role is pivotal in managing various aspects of Workers' Compensation Administration, ADAAA and FEHA Disability Coordination, and Ergonomics Management. Under the direction of the Risk Manager, the HR Analyst II will perform a range of professional-level tasks that require a deep understanding of disability management and compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The position is located at the Rene C. Davidson Courthouse in Oakland, California, and may involve supervising or leading clerical staff as needed. In this role, the incumbent will coordinate the Workers' Compensation program, providing essential information to injured employees about their benefits and procedures. This includes counseling employees, managers, and supervisors on Workers' Compensation procedures, disability management, and vocational rehabilitation, while ensuring compliance with State and Federal laws regarding disabilities. The HR Analyst II will also be responsible for timely reporting of claims to the third-party administrator, gathering necessary documentation, and conducting interviews to assess the credibility of claims. Additionally, the position involves monitoring Workers' Compensation cases and the Return-To-Work program, collaborating with medical providers to facilitate safe employee reintegration into the workplace. The HR Analyst II will also manage the Ergonomic Program, maintaining a database of ergonomic requests and coordinating training for staff. In terms of ADAAA and FEHA Disability Management, the role requires active engagement in the Interactive Process with employees and management to determine necessary work modifications or accommodations. The HR Analyst II will ensure that all cases are documented accurately and in a timely manner, and will also be involved in training supervisors on ADAAA and FEHA compliance. General administrative duties will include assisting the Risk Manager with various tasks, participating in new employee orientations, and performing other related duties as assigned. This position is classified as a journey-level role, indicating that the incumbent will handle a wide variety of professional assignments that increase in complexity over time.
