About the position
The Human Resources and Benefits Manager will oversee payroll and benefits operations, manage HR audits, ensure compliance with regulations, and maintain employee records within the Food & Food Processing industry. This role is a short-term contract position based in El Segundo, California.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the administration and reporting of payroll, benefits, time & attendance, and 401k for all regional companies
- Handle all HR related inquiries professionally from HR, employees, and management
- Support the onboarding of new employees by ensuring timely payroll and benefits setup
- Maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders such as brokers, vendors, service providers, record keepers, investment advisors, and legal counsel
- Manage the renewal of programs and maintain timelines with expiration dates/renewal dates for all employee programs
- Ensure compliance with applicable Federal & State rules and regulations
- Assist in the company's restructuring or mergers/acquisitions processes
- Manage all employee files and documents
- Oversee the HRIS audit processes
- Lead all payroll, benefit plan, and HR audits
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience in the Food & Food Processing industry
- Proficiency in using ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now
- Familiarity with ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode
- Experience with Ceridian and HCM software
- Demonstrated ability to manage Benefit Functions
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong understanding and ability to ensure Compliance in all HR practices
- Proven capability in managing Employee Relations effectively
- Experience in developing, improving, and implementing Hiring Processes
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
