The Human Resources and Payroll Manager at our skilled nursing facility plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of HR functions and payroll processing. In this fast-paced environment, the HR Manager will be responsible for processing payroll, which includes preparing bi-weekly payroll, updating schedules in the time clock system, and reviewing and tracking hours worked. The role requires a thorough understanding of company policies and legal pay rules to ensure compliance. Additionally, the HR Manager will conduct new employee orientations to instill a positive attitude towards the company’s objectives and culture. The HR Manager will maintain records of benefits plan participation, personnel transactions, and employee statistics for government reporting. This includes advising management on employee relations issues, responding to inquiries regarding policies and procedures, and administering various benefits programs such as life, health, dental, and disability insurances. The role also involves monitoring employee performance, conducting performance appraisals, and addressing any complaints or disciplinary actions that may arise. Furthermore, the HR Manager will ensure that all HR functions comply with legal requirements and government regulations. This includes preparing employee personnel files, conducting reference checks, and liaising with Corporate HR to align with broader organizational policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in human resources, particularly within the skilled nursing sector, and will be adept at managing payroll and staffing needs effectively.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 1 year experience leading a human resource or operations department within Skilled Nursing.
  • Payroll experience is essential.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and nursing staffing.
  • Familiarity with time and attendance systems.
