About the position

The Human Resources and Payroll Manager at Providence Place Senior Living is a vital role responsible for overseeing HR functions for 160 employees, including payroll management. This position involves collaborating with the Executive Director and Chief HR Officer to ensure compliance with HR policies and employment laws, managing employee benefits, and supporting recruitment efforts. The HR Manager will also maintain personnel records and assist department managers with HR-related matters, contributing to a positive work environment in a senior living community.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Director and Chief HR Officer in employee policy and procedure decisions.
• Maintain knowledge of HR policies, programs, laws, and ensure compliance.
• Advise management on employment actions in accordance with laws and policies.
• Manage the human resource information systems database and ensure payroll accuracy.
• Administer employee benefit programs and communicate eligibility and enrollment information.
• Represent the company in unemployment claims.
• Support the Executive Director in the Wage Administration Program.
• Create and maintain personnel records for all employees.
• Process preliminary screening of applicants and conduct new-employee orientations.
• Manage workers' compensation claims and OSHA records.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of HR experience, preferably in senior living.
• Experience with payroll management.
