Responsibilities

• Assist in the full range of human resource activities for the Department of Corrections.
• Investigate, analyze, interpret, and apply policies, rules, regulations, and collective bargaining agreements.
• Maintain excellent customer service while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Utilize Microsoft Office programs to perform various HR functions and documentation.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of human resource activities and responsibilities at the state of Michigan.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Publisher).
• Ability to problem-solve, organize, and prioritize work responsibilities.
