About the position

The Human Resources Assistant II at UTHealth Houston focuses on onboarding residents and faculty, providing essential administrative and technical support within the Employee Services team. This role operates in a hybrid work environment, with flexibility depending on project demands, particularly during peak times of the year. The position is located in the University Center Tower at the Texas Medical Center, contributing to a mission-driven organization dedicated to healthcare education and patient care excellence.

Responsibilities

• Provides daily technical support to clients and/or departmental staff members in assigned areas of human resources.
• Researches, compiles, and analyzes data for various projects and reports, making recommendations to supervisors on HR issues.
• Processes and/or explains forms to employees and applicants.
• Supports hiring managers, candidates, organizational staff, and HR colleagues in areas such as HR information systems, candidate recruitment, employment processing, compensation administration, training administration, employee relations, and equal opportunity.
• Researches and answers routine to moderately complex questions or issues in compliance with UT-Houston's policies.
• Prepares procedures for assigned tasks.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or its equivalent.
• One year of office or administrative experience is required.
