About the position

The Human Resources Assistant Specialist position at Parker Meggitt is a critical role within the organization, particularly in a manufacturing environment. This position is designed for a highly motivated and experienced HR Generalist who will be responsible for managing various aspects of employee relations, talent management, and leadership development. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in human resources, particularly within a manufacturing setting, and will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and leadership skills. In this role, the HR Generalist will serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations issues, providing guidance and support to both employees and managers. This includes investigating and resolving employee complaints and conflicts, ensuring that company policies and procedures are applied fairly and consistently. The HR Generalist will also play a key role in fostering a positive work environment through effective communication and conflict resolution strategies. The position also involves overseeing the recruitment process, which includes sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new employees. The HR Generalist will develop and implement talent management strategies aimed at attracting, retaining, and developing top talent within the organization. Additionally, the role supports performance evaluations and provides coaching and feedback to employees to facilitate their professional growth. Leadership development is another crucial aspect of this position. The HR Generalist will identify leadership development needs and design programs to enhance leadership skills across the organization. They will provide guidance and support to managers and supervisors on best practices in leadership and employee management techniques, as well as facilitate training sessions and workshops to promote continuous improvement. Finally, the HR Generalist will ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation, and oversee benefits administration, including enrollment and claims resolution.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High School Diploma; Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in human resources, focusing on employee relations, talent management, and leadership development.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and MUST HAVE PeopleSoft experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) is a plus.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
