About the position

The Human Resource Associate at IRISNDT Inc. is responsible for performing administrative tasks and services to support the effective and efficient operations of the human resource department. Responsibilities

  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
  • Conducts background checks to verify information about a job applicant's history, credentials, job history, criminal history, motor vehicle records, educational attainment, certifications, and licenses.
  • Schedules Pre-Employment Physicals.
  • Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees regarding standard policies, benefits, and hiring processes; refers complex questions to senior-level HR staff or management.
  • Maintains accurate records of active job openings and received applications; manages internal and external job postings.
  • Performs administrative and recordkeeping tasks related to staffing changes, including layoffs, resignations, terminations, and extended leaves of absence.
  • Conducts or assists with record audits and mandatory reports, including I-9 audits, payroll audits, and other compliance reviews.
  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
  • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  • Provides clerical support to the HR department.
  • May assist with payroll functions including processing, answering employee questions, fixing processing errors, and distributing checks.
  • Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in related field preferred.
  • Three years of office experience preferred, with at least one year in human resources highly preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.
  • Valid Driver's License and pre-employment background check will be required.
