About the position

The Human Resources Benefits Coordinator at Cherry Hill Public Schools is responsible for managing and administering employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing exceptional customer service to staff. This role plays a crucial part in supporting the school district's mission by prioritizing the needs of educators and support staff, thereby contributing to a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and administer employee benefits programs including health, dental, vision, and life insurance.
  • Coordinate NJ Pension enrollments and Cobra Administration.
  • Assist with open enrollment processes and provide guidance to employees regarding benefits options.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee information and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to the educational community regarding benefits inquiries.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel for data management and reporting related to benefits administration.
  • Demonstrate strong project management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2-4 years of experience in Benefits Administration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate integrity.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with NJ Pension enrollments preferred.
  • Prior knowledge of Cobra Administration and coordination of open enrollment desired.
