About the position

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) at See's Candies serves as a strategic partner and consultant to both employees and management within various corporate functions. This role is pivotal in aligning business objectives with HR strategies, managing employee relations, and ensuring compliance with employment laws. The HRBP will proactively address HR-related needs, facilitate talent management, and support performance management processes, all while promoting a culture of continuous development and accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with leaders in corporate functions to understand business objectives and provide HR guidance and support.
  • Manage employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into workplace issues, ensuring fairness and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Lead the development and refinement of employee relations policies in collaboration with HR and Legal.
  • Guide and coach managers on best practices for handling sensitive employee matters.
  • Partner with corporate function leaders to identify current and future talent needs and develop strategies to attract and retain high-performing teams.
  • Facilitate the performance management process, ensuring consistent application of performance standards.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Identify training needs across corporate functions and develop targeted programs to enhance employee skills.
  • Analyze HR data and trends to provide insights and recommendations for improving HR programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with a focus on HR business partnering.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with employees and management.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and understand trends.

Nice-to-haves

  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
  • Workday experience desired.
