The Human Resources Business Partner/Generalist at Loyola University Maryland will play a pivotal role in providing both operational and strategic HR support to faculty, staff, and administrators within assigned business units. This position will work closely with the Director of Employee Relations & Organizational Development to develop, implement, and evaluate HR policies, procedures, and programs that pertain to employment, employee relations, and professional development. The HR Partner will manage the recruitment and employment process, conduct employee relations investigations, oversee job classification, facilitate orientation, and address general HR inquiries for the assigned business units. Additionally, the role will ensure that HR professional development opportunities and statutory training are executed based on the needs and compliance requirements of the assigned units. The HR Partner will also participate in the development and facilitation of overall HR training and professional development programs as assigned by the supervisor. In this role, the HR Partner will serve as the lead and primary point of contact for all HR-related matters within the assigned business groups. This encompasses a wide range of responsibilities including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, leadership development, conflict management, policy and procedures implementation, compliance, employee engagement, unemployment, offboarding, and various employee relations matters. The ideal candidate will possess an energetic and professional demeanor, enabling them to build strong professional relationships through regular meetings and collaboration with line managers and department VPs to ensure that HR services meet or exceed expectations. The HR Partner will assist in creating an exceptional HR service organization that aligns with the University’s strategic goals. They will partner with internal HR team members and HR Directors to translate business strategies into actionable HR initiatives that drive results for the University.
