About the position

The Human Resources Co-op/Intern position at Honda for Summer 2025 offers college students a hands-on, project-based experience in various HR departments. Interns will engage in meaningful work relevant to their placements, participate in events, and gain exposure to Honda's operations while contributing to real projects. This role emphasizes the importance of Honda's core values and aims to foster a diverse and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in daily Associate Relations activities with AR team members.
  • Provide customer service on general information regarding Benefits and HR Systems.
  • Conduct information sharing meetings regarding company programs.
  • Perform Leave of Absence audits.
  • Support various projects surrounding internal partnering with various Honda divisions.
  • Research best practices in competency management and mentor program set-up.
  • Support research and analysis activities regarding benefit plan design.
  • Evaluate best Payroll practices and support the development of operation standards and training resources.
  • Present findings to management.

Requirements

  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Minimum 2.5 Cumulative GPA or higher.
  • Class status - Sophomore (by credit hour) or above.
  • Availability to work a minimum of 10 weeks at 40 hours per week.
  • Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program studying Human Resources, Business, or related field.
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License.
  • Ability to secure own transportation to and from work each day.
