About the position

The Complex Human Resources Manager at Perdue Farms is responsible for overseeing the HR functions at both the plant facility and live production operations. This role focuses on staffing, safety, associate relations, and compliance with various regulations, ensuring that HR processes align with company policies and meet compliance requirements. The manager will lead strategic HR planning, develop effective recruiting strategies, and implement processes to reduce turnover while fostering a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, implements, and audits an effective recruiting/selection plan to attract talent.
  • Implements processes to reduce turnover and audits their effectiveness.
  • Ensures compliance with AAP, EEOC, DOL, DHS, OSHA, and other regulations.
  • Responsible for strategic HR planning and goal setting, including an annual HR business plan.
  • Trains HR staff in their responsibilities and develops an audit process for consistency.
  • Develops and implements innovative ideas to advance HR and business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR management.
  • Knowledge of AAP, OSHA, EEOC, DHS, DOL regulations.
  • Experience in staffing for both exempt and non-exempt positions.
  • Proven success in supervising HR associates and leading to innovation and efficiency.
  • Experience with HRIS and developing turnover reduction methods.
  • Skills in training, coaching, and mentoring supervisors.
  • Ability to supervise safety functions and manage worker compensation costs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze issues at strategic and functional levels.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in developing and maintaining recognition programs.
  • Ability to think ahead and plan over a 1 to 3 year time span.
