We are currently seeking an energetic and talented individual to join our team as a Manager of HR Compliance in our Corporate Office located in Chicago, IL. The Manager of HR Compliance is responsible for performing many HR related duties on a professional level and works closely with the Human Resources Director and Legal Department. Responsibilities

  • Develops, initiates, maintains, and revises policies and procedures for the Company.
  • Responds to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and Standards of Conduct by conducting or coordinating an investigation. Maintains records of allegation in the Origami System.
  • Stays current on various laws and regulations and communicates changes with various personnel including, but not limited to, Human Resources Director and Corporate Ethics & Compliance Officer.
  • Works with the Human Resources Director and others as appropriate to develop an effective compliance-training program, including introductory training for new employees as well as ongoing training for all employees and managers.
  • Ensures personnel actions are in compliance with current Human Resources policies and guidelines. This includes reviewing requests for minimum wage requirements, accurate FLSA classifications, accurately completed federal forms (I9, E-Verify, W4), and receipt of proper approvals by transaction type.
  • Oversees internal audit of employees' record data such as Living Allowance Benefits, Auto Benefits, I9 Compliance, and Sponsored Employee's records.
  • Conduct internal compliance audits at various job-sites and report findings as appropriate.
  • Assist with the preparation of external audits. Gather and organize items as needed by various departments to respond to audits by external agencies.
  • Process and track all employee immigration requests.
  • Participates in developing and executing department goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in human resources or related field.
  • 5 - 7 years of human resource experience, with an emphasis on compliance topics preferred.
  • Ability to think critically and independently make decisions concerning employee leaves and accommodation requests.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Employee is expected to work in Corporate office at minimum 40 hours a week.
