About the position

The Human Resources Coordinator - Administrative Assistant at The HEICO Companies, LLC is a part-time role focused on supporting day-to-day business operations within a dynamic manufacturing facility. This position emphasizes recruitment, payroll, employee relations, and various administrative tasks, providing a unique opportunity for exposure to different organizational functions. The ideal candidate is personable, energetic, and experienced in HR, eager to contribute to a cohesive team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for full cycle recruitment efforts for both exempt and non-exempt level roles within the plant, including job posting, scheduling/conducting interviews, preparing and extending offer letters, and initiating pre-employment screenings.
  • Oversee and conduct new hire orientation and onboarding, including processing all new hire paperwork and preparing and coordinating new hire training schedules.
  • Manage benefit and leave management programs.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations by preparing and maintaining employment records related to hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, or promotions.
  • Act as the point person for employee relation issues, conducting thorough and unbiased investigations with proper documentation and guiding resolutions.
  • Strive to maintain a positive employee relations environment and culture that is engaging, diverse, and inclusive.
  • Cascade and monitor corporate-driven programs, such as open enrollment and compliance training requirements, to all layers within the organization.
  • Partner with the EH&S Manager to maintain records and ensure compliance with EH&S policies and procedures.
  • Serve as the point person for the corporate payroll group and handle administrative payroll tasks.
  • Provide general administrative support to the plant leadership team, including order entry, customer service backup, greeting visitors, and basic purchasing tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a Human Resources Department in a similar role; manufacturing industry experience is ideal.

  • Top-notch written and verbal communication skills; detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy, especially in customer service.
  • Common sense approach to problem-solving with a positive, high-energy demeanor.
  • Excellent technical skills, including proficiency in MS Office and working knowledge of HRIS programs, particularly UKG PRO.
  • Ability to interact with multiple layers of the organization at both local and corporate levels while handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • A passionate and level-headed individual who can focus on tasks while supporting the organization's big picture goals.
