About the position

The Human Resources Coordinator/Generalist will play a vital role in supporting the Human Resources Department of a prestigious nonprofit organization in Beacon, NY. This position involves coordinating various HR functions, including onboarding, processing employee changes, and maintaining accurate employee records. The ideal candidate will be a high-energy team player with a focus on customer service and effective communication.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate onboarding of recently hired employees
  • Process new hires, leaves, terminations, and coordinate adding/ending of benefits with appropriate departments
  • Manage the new hire orientation process
  • Assist in responding to employee inquiries and directing them to the appropriate resources
  • Maintain accurate records of confidential employee information
  • Assist department with other HR-related duties as needed

Requirements

  • 2 plus years of relevant HR experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Knowledge of HR and payroll systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR databases
  • Paychex software knowledge a plus
  • Team player and customer-focused
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
