About the position

The Human Resources Operations Specialist at the South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles plays a crucial role in supporting the HR team by managing HR technology and ensuring the accuracy of employee data. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can work independently and effectively communicate with various levels of the organization. The role involves creating and maintaining reports, assisting with HRIS systems, and providing support in the absence of the HR Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance to the Human Resources Team in managing HR technology including SuccessFactors, Keymark/OnBase, the HR Dashboard, and SharePoint.
  • Work with the HR Operations Manager in testing functionality and providing support to the HR team in the absence of the HR Manager.
  • Maintain employee data as needed and assist in the maintenance and input of position information into the South Carolina Enterprise Information System (SCEIS).
  • Create new positions and make organizational changes/moves/corrections for agency positions under the direction or in absence of the HR Manager.
  • Work with HR Manager to create, maintain, and analyze SCEIS reports through BEX queries and Excel.
  • Create custom ad-hoc reports and system queries as requested, validating results and ensuring accuracy.
  • Build standard reports for each department within the agency, ensuring accuracy and routing to respective Director or Manager.
  • Complete the running of reports in the absence of the HR Manager.
  • Maintain the HR SharePoint site under the direction of the HR Manager, including preparing rosters for Directorates to maintain up-to-date agency information.
  • Review the SharePoint site for outdated information and report this to the HR Manager.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree and relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be accepted with prior approval.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office software with an advanced level of experience and knowledge of Excel.
  • Knowledge of HRIS/SAP network systems and services.
  • Ability to analyze data and present ideas effectively.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to effectively meet all daily and monthly deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Human Resources policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise good judgement and discretion in all matters.

Nice-to-haves

  • One year of human resources experience or one year of experience with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS).
  • Experience in implementing programs is a plus.
