About the position

The CUBRC, Inc. Buffalo NY office has an immediate need for a Human Resources Coordinator. This position is an in-person role that requires the candidate to report to the headquarters office Monday through Friday. The Human Resources Coordinator will be directly responsible for assisting the Human Resources Manager in the overall coordination of human resource and payroll functions. The candidate will utilize their knowledge of human resources processes to provide support for all CUBRC and Avarint employees across all locations. This role is crucial in ensuring that the HR operations run smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of the organization. In this position, the Human Resources Coordinator will accurately process payroll, including the input of all data and changes. They will also handle employee fringe benefit enrollment and termination documents, ensuring that all invoices are reconciled accurately and submitted for timely payment. The coordinator will be responsible for completing employment verifications and reference checks, as well as conducting background check screenings and reviewing results. Maintaining employee personnel files and updating records in the Paylocity Portal will also be key responsibilities. Additionally, the coordinator will process various employee benefits such as Worker's compensation, STD/LTD, Paid Family Leave, Tuition Reimbursement, and 401K contributions. They will need to maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources and employment law. The role also involves performing diversified clerical and administrative activities, assisting in the planning and administration of company events and meetings, and being available to assist all employees with questions and issues. The Human Resources Coordinator will also assist the Human Resources Manager with other tasks as needed and serve as a backup for the Human Resources Assistant when required.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately process payroll including input of all data and changes.
  • Process employee fringe benefit enrollment and termination documents.
  • Reconcile all fringe benefit invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payment.
  • Process all employee enrollment and termination of benefits, ensuring that all invoices are accurate and submitted for payment on a timely basis.
  • Complete employment verifications and reference checks.
  • Complete background check screenings and review of results.
  • Maintain employee personnel files and record status changes on all employees as necessary.
  • Maintain and update all personnel records and Paylocity Portal.
  • Process Worker's compensation, STD/LTD, Paid Family Leave, Tuition Reimbursement, 401K contributions, loans, and rollovers for employees as needed.
  • Facilitate processing and troubleshooting as necessary on behalf of employees.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources and employment law.
  • Perform diversified clerical and administrative activities.
  • Assist in the planning and administration of company events and meetings.
  • Be available to assist all employees with questions and issues.
  • Assist the Human Resources Manager with other tasks as needed.
  • Serve as backup for the Human Resources Assistant as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related area.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, and HRS systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to problem-solve and seek resolution to issues as they arise.
  • Ability to research and analyze information to be applied to situations.

Nice-to-haves
