About the position

The Human Resources Coordinator at Grand Strand Medical Center plays a vital role in supporting local HR functions and enhancing the employee experience. This position serves as the primary point of contact for employees seeking HR support, guiding them through various HR processes and ensuring effective communication between staff and HR services. The coordinator will also assist in implementing employee engagement initiatives and maintaining compliance with HR policies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide local HR support to employees and act as the face of the HR office.
  • Guide employees to the correct self-service portal and HR service center for transactional support.
  • Support HR Business Partner team and managers in collecting and coordinating information.
  • Assist with local employee engagement, service awards, and community events.
  • Implement department or facility action plans based on engagement survey results.
  • Maintain local hiring processes, including job postings and organizing onsite interviews.
  • Coordinate local orientation programs and assist with content delivery.
  • Support compliance initiatives by gathering information for audits.
  • Maintain learning and development activities at the facility.
  • Manage benefits enrollment by conducting information sessions and directing employees to resources.
  • Assist managers with salary and incentive planning processes.
  • Aid employees with inquiries related to Leaves of Absence or Workers' Compensation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 1 or more years of relevant work experience.
