About the position

The Human Resources Coordinator at Augusta University plays a vital role in supporting the HR Specialist in the Student Employment Center. This position is responsible for processing employment transactions for student employees, ensuring data accuracy in the OneUSG Connect database, and providing exceptional customer service to various stakeholders within the university. The coordinator will also assist in maintaining HR records and compliance with university policies.

Responsibilities

• Processes and enters/reviews data in PeopleSoft for all student employee new hires, terminations, salary changes, and transfers in a timely and accurate manner according to the published payroll schedule.
• Receives and reviews for accuracy and completeness all electronic personnel action requests and audits corresponding employment documents for student employees; processes accordingly.
• Completes AU clearance process for all terminating student employees.
• Provides the highest level of customer service to campus employees, department managers, retirees, and other AU business units to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee data.
• Serves as backup for the HR Specialist in the Student Employment Center section of Human Resources.

Requirements

• Associate degree from an accredited college or university with two years of HR experience working with an integrated database system.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent from a State or Federal accrediting organization and three years of HR experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree and one year of HR experience.
• Experience with PeopleSoft HRMS.
• Experience working in Higher Education and/or working with non-US citizens.
