About the position

The HR Coordinator at H2M architects + engineers plays a crucial role in supporting the HR team and ensuring the efficient operation of the corporate HR Department. This position focuses on various aspects of the recruitment process and involves executing a variety of HR-related transactions, maintaining employee records, and providing administrative support for HR initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Assist and coordinate various recruitment efforts for HR Business Partners, including reviewing resumes and scheduling interviews.
  • Conduct phone screens and ensure a positive interview experience for applicants.
  • Respond timely and accurately to employee requests and route them to appropriate resources.
  • Process various HR-related forms for new-hire onboarding, change-of-status, benefits, and terminations.
  • Maintain employee records for completeness and accuracy.
  • Input and validate employment and personal data into the HRIS database.
  • Generate employee documents for onboarding, changes, and termination processes.
  • Assist employees with verifications of employment and basic benefit questions.
  • Support HR team with new hire orientations and employee engagement programs.
  • Assist with various HR projects, reports, compliance requests, and analytics.
  • Identify opportunities for best practices and process improvement.
  • Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate a strong ethical commitment to HR.
  • Promote professional standards and a positive attitude in all projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; HR Management or related degree highly desirable.
  • 1-3 years of HR or related experience, preferably in the service industry or engineering field.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and shift priorities based on business needs.
  • Ability to make independent decisions and handle difficult situations discreetly.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong record-keeping habits with a keen eye for data inconsistencies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the engineering field or service industry is a plus.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems.
