About the position

The Human Resources Data Quality Assurance Analyst at Rush University Medical Center is responsible for leading and supporting quality assurance analysis of HR data to ensure integrity and compliance across various data sources. This role involves creating reports, recommending data maintenance plans, and collaborating with HR and IT functions to enhance data quality. The analyst will also provide training and documentation to support data integrity efforts, aligning with the organization's ICARE values.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support projects to update necessary alignments or corrections of HR data elements across the organization
  • Create accurate, repeatable, and scalable reports to support HR data quality audits
  • Investigate questions regarding data and provide accurate and timely responses
  • Identify, analyze, assess, document, and communicate potential quality issues in data handling
  • Create partnerships with key stakeholders in HR and the business to resolve data quality problems
  • Lead cross-functional data cleansing projects
  • Create and execute plans for the maintenance of data integrity based on findings from root cause analysis
  • Perform data analysis and prepare reports and dashboards for leadership using Analytics tools such as Power BI
  • Produce data quality scorecards and present to COE partners, Business Partners, and Sr. HR Leadership
  • Manage data quality documentation by defining and maintaining data standards and models
  • Provide data quality services to the organization by participating in cross-functional teams
  • Bring Data Quality policy decisions and issues to HR Data Governance Committee
  • Compile and assist with the acquisition of data reports and summaries for leadership
  • Conduct regular assessments including quality assurance testing and data cleanup
  • Develop user procedures, guides, manuals, and instructional tools
  • Create a positive and respectful work environment based on ICARE values

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Finance, Business, or a related field
  • 5 years of experience in data analysis with foundational understanding of people data
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel, SQL, and BI tools
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize projects efficiently
  • Excellent analytical skills to find root causes of data quality issues
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills to work with various business levels
  • Proven ability to collaborate in a cross-functional team environment
  • Ability to analyze and resolve non-routine data issues using independent judgment
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Experience in complex, fast-paced organizations
  • Knowledgeable about HR processes, policies, and compliance governing people data
  • Experience in data analysis and implementation of technical solutions
  • Project management experience and innovative thinking skills
  • Process-oriented with excellent follow-through skills
  • Ability to prioritize workload and provide timely follow-up
  • Excellent customer service skills with strong verbal and written communication
  • Demonstrated high level of accountability, integrity, discretion, and confidentiality
