About the position

The Human Resources Data Specialist at TerrAscend is a part-time role focused on managing and analyzing HR data to support various business functions. This position requires expertise in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and proficiency in Power BI to create dashboards that visualize key HR metrics. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess strong analytical skills, and be a motivated self-starter capable of working independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day and project-based support in an operational capacity.
• Utilize Power BI to design and create visually appealing and user-friendly dashboards for HR data.
• Generate regular reports on key HR metrics such as employee turnover, headcount, and diversity.
• Assist with data needs for HR projects including workforce planning and performance tracking.
• Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance HR operations efficiency.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in HR analytics.
• Collaborate with HR, payroll, and benefits teams to streamline data processes.
• Troubleshoot system issues and work with IT to resolve technical problems.
• Participate in special projects involving large-scale data analysis or system updates.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in data analytics, including system integrations and dashboards.
• Proven experience in developing interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI or similar tools.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, PowerBI).
• Experience troubleshooting HRIS platforms and providing solutions.
• Strong analytical skills to translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment with shifting goals and priorities.
