About the position

The HR Data Specialist is responsible for entering transactions within the Workday HCM system and generating departmental reports. This role collaborates closely with the HR and Operations teams to track and report on various HR metrics such as absenteeism, turnover, and employee referrals, ensuring compliance with company guidelines and legal requirements.

Responsibilities

• Enter data and transactions in the Workday system accurately and completely.
• Act as the point of contact for employees and leaders regarding Workday data and transactions.
• Research and resolve data input discrepancies or missing data.
• Gather, track, and compile data for HR and Operations metrics reporting.
• Oversee the messaging system for the location.
• Manage the unemployment process and ensure complete data entry.
• Provide training on the Workday HCM system to supervisors and managers.
• Validate and certify I-9 documentation for new hires.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Promote safety initiatives and maintain a zero accident culture.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in a relevant field preferred.
• Minimum three years' experience in a human resources environment.
• Experience with HCM systems such as Workday is highly preferred.
• Strong computer skills with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written; ability to communicate in multiple languages preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively with others and maintain confidentiality.
• Self-starter with strong initiative and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
