About the position

The Human Resources Employee Coordinator at Charles T. Sitrin Health Care Center is responsible for managing various HR functions, including scheduling new hire orientations, processing employment verifications, and maintaining employee records. This full-time position requires strong organizational and communication skills to support the HR department effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and conduct new hire employee orientation.
  • Answer routine questions and refer callers/visitors to the Director as appropriate.
  • Update all status changes in the database.
  • Ensure proper distribution of termination letters and prepare separation packets.
  • Schedule exit interviews.
  • Coordinate interviews for open positions with hiring departments.
  • Complete requests for verification of employment.
  • Coordinate external advertising for open positions and update the open job log.
  • Process incoming mail and correspondence for the Human Resources offices.
  • Handle outgoing mail as required.
  • Process internal job postings and maintain their distribution and removal upon expiration.
  • Schedule applicants for pre-employment physicals and mantoux testing as needed.
  • Verify all pre-employment physical requirements are met prior to start date.
  • Update the database with new employee information prior to start date.
  • Coordinate start date and orientation scheduling for new hire employees.
  • Perform necessary pre-employment checks on new hire employees (e.g., OIG).
  • Maintain applicant pool and screen candidates for Nurse Aid Training program.
  • Create new employee files and confirm all pre/post employment requirements are met prior to start date.
  • Access and maintain protected health information (PHI) on employees in both written and electronic formats.
  • Perform duties according to the highest ethical and moral standards and in adherence with the facility's corporate compliance plan and all applicable governing laws.
  • Adhere to the facility's confidentiality statement in accessing and safeguarding protected health information (PHI) of residents and employees.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in business or related field.
  • Knowledge of personal computer technology, including spreadsheet and word processing software.
  • Strong organization and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and carry out required office duties.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and frequently changing environment.

Benefits

  • Competitive hourly pay rate of $17.00-$19.00, commensurate with experience.
  • Full-time employment with a Monday to Friday schedule.
