About the position

The Employee Relations Manager at Alta Resources will oversee employee relations activities across the United States, focusing on the standardization and implementation of HR policies and programs. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with legal requirements, enhancing employee engagement, and driving performance management initiatives. The manager will provide guidance and training to leaders and staff, while also directly supervising the employee relations team to foster professional growth and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Direct employee relation activities related to HR policies and programs.
  • Provide guidance, training, and assistance to leaders and employees.
  • Oversee the employee relations staff and manage their development.
  • Conduct personnel investigations regarding breaches of company policy.
  • Maintain knowledge of legal requirements related to employee management.
  • Establish collaborative relationships across all organizational areas.
  • Evaluate the employee relations team structure for continual improvement.
  • Ensure the Employee Handbook remains relevant and compliant with regulations.
  • Conduct training and development sessions in collaboration with HR and operational leadership.
  • Participate in operational project teams as an HR Subject Matter Expert.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in HR Management required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Five years of experience in the Human Resources field required.
  • PHR/SHRM-CP or SPHR/SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification required for leadership positions.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with HRIS and reporting software.
  • Ability to write speeches and articles for publication.
  • Experience in conducting training and development sessions.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $82.8K - $105K per year.
