About the position

The P&C Employee Relations Partner at Novant Health is a hybrid role that plays a crucial part in managing employee relations across one or more lines of business. This position requires a collaborative leader who will act as an internal consultant to leaders, staff, and providers regarding HR policies and procedures. The Employee Relations Partner will be responsible for developing and promoting innovative strategies to enhance employee engagement within the organization. This role involves close collaboration with HR Business Partners (HRBPs), compliance, and legal teams, ensuring a balance between business needs and organizational risk management. The successful candidate will be expected to create an environment that supports diversity and inclusion, which is one of Novant Health's core values. Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and manage employee relations for one or more lines of business.
  • Serve as an internal consultant to leaders, staff, and providers regarding HR policies and procedures.
  • Develop and promote innovative strategies to foster employee engagement.
  • Collaborate closely with HRBPs, compliance, and legal teams to balance business needs and organizational risk management.
  • Create an environment that supports and respects diversity to promote creative problem solving.
  • Ensure accountability for customer service standards and service recovery when needed.
  • Foster a work environment of inclusion and belonging.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of seven years of Human Resources or related experience required.
  • Health care experience is required.
  • Experience in managing and implementing projects and strategic change initiatives is required.
  • Experience in providing consultative services is preferred.
  • Certifications such as PHR, SPHR, CHCR, SHRM-CP, SHRBP, or SHRM-SCP are preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, specifically Excel, Word, Teams, and PowerPoint.

  • Graduate's Degree strongly preferred.

  • Bilingual in Spanish / English is preferred.
