About the position

The Employee Relations Specialist at Terry Reilly plays a crucial role in supporting the HR team by administering and applying HR policies and procedures related to employee relations. This position focuses on compliance with employment laws and aims to enhance employee engagement and onboarding processes. The specialist collaborates with leadership and the HR team on various projects to improve the employee experience and reduce legal exposure through effective management practices.

Responsibilities

• Administer and apply Human Resources policies and procedures related to employee relations.
• Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and accreditation organizations.
• Participate in the development and delivery of training related to employee engagement and onboarding.
• Engage in process improvement efforts related to employee relations and engagement.
• Collaborate with leadership and HR team on projects related to the employee experience.
• Reduce legal exposure by ensuring effective management practices are consistently used.

Requirements

• Minimum three to five years of human resources experience with an emphasis on complex employee relations issues, employment law, EEO, and ADA.
• Bachelor's degree in human resource management, business management, or a related field, or equivalent education, training, and experience.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Self-starter able to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent computer skills, with experience using Microsoft Word, Access, and Excel.
• Professional appearance and manner.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree in human resources with seven years of experience focusing on employee relations, employment law, EEO, and ADA.
• Human Resource experience in healthcare or health and human services organizations.
• SHRM-CP certification.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
