About the position

The HR Employment Assistant at Taco Bell plays a crucial role in supporting the HR Recruiter with staffing objectives, including tracking applicant statuses and conducting background checks. This position is essential for ensuring a smooth onboarding process and maintaining the integrity of HR operations in Hawaii.

Responsibilities

  • Process background check requests by obtaining federal, state, and sex offender criminal records online.
  • Conduct employment verification calls to previous employers for management position job offers.
  • Coordinate drug testing for all management position job offers and promotions.
  • Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of the background check files.
  • Assist new hires with onboarding paperwork completion.
  • Assist HR Recruiter in any tasks needed to meet staffing objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources or Business.
  • Experience working in a Recruitment or HR team.
  • Understanding of employment-related legislation.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to undertake and complete projects with minimal supervision.
