About the position

The Human Resources Event Coordinator plays a crucial role in providing administrative and technical support to the human resources and events management team. This position is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of the employment process and supporting various HR functions in a fast-paced event environment. The coordinator must be adaptable and ready to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, particularly in relation to athletics and sporting events.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the employment process for applicants, including scheduling interviews and ensuring timely completion of new employee paperwork.
  • Complete required reports such as attendance information and payroll corrections accurately and on time.
  • Update employee changes in computerized systems, including status and contact information.
  • Prepare postings, letters, and memos for the department as needed.
  • Act as a technical resource to address inquiries related to human resources functions.
  • Verify employment of employees and follow up on unemployment cases as needed.
  • Prepare employee separation notices and related documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of two years previous experience in customer service or a related field preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Outlook, Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Customer focus and initiative in seeking new project opportunities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in event staffing or security staffing.
  • Experience in high-volume recruitment.
