About the position

The Human Resources Generalist at Southeast Kansas Mental Health Center plays a crucial role in supporting the HR functions within the organization. Responsibilities

  • Manage recruitment processes including job postings, screening candidates, and conducting interviews.
  • Assist in the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees on HR-related matters, including benefits, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases, ensuring compliance with confidentiality requirements.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with organizational goals.
  • Support performance management processes, including performance reviews and employee development plans.
  • Stay updated on HR best practices and changes in employment legislation.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of training programs for employees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of HR experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar HR certification is preferred.
  • Equivalent years of service and/or certifications in related fields may be substituted.
  • Must pass KBI, DCF child & adult abuse registry, motor vehicle screen, and background checks.
  • Must have reliable and insured transportation.
