About the position

The Human Resources Generalist (Benefits) at the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority is responsible for the administration and support of employee benefits programs. This role involves managing various benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and leave programs while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies. The position also requires assisting the Human Resources Department with a wide range of program activities as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and support employee benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, and leave programs.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies related to employee benefits.
  • Assist the Human Resources Department with various program activities as required.
  • Communicate effectively with employees regarding benefits-related inquiries and issues.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.
  • Two years of Human Resources work experience, including benefits-related responsibilities.
  • General knowledge of Human Resources policies and procedures, and benefits law.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong presentation skills.
  • Advanced computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Thorough understanding of employee benefits programs and regulations.
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with confidential and sensitive information.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and diplomacy while interacting with the public and management.

Nice-to-haves

  • Multilingual skills preferred.
  • Valid Florida driver's license.
