About the position

The Human Resources Generalist at Builders FirstSource plays a crucial role in supporting HR functions across multiple locations in the San Lorenzo lumber market. This bilingual position focuses on employee relations, compliance with employment laws, recruitment, and training, ensuring a diverse and inclusive workplace. The HR Generalist will partner with local leadership to address HR-related issues and enhance employee engagement.

Responsibilities

• Communicate various Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulations to employees and management.
• Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
• Source candidates, screen, and recruit job applicants for various positions.
• Review applications and conduct interviews to match candidates with job requirements.
• Conduct new hire orientation and benefits orientation for employees.
• Perform benefit administration, including change reporting and communication of benefit information.
• Facilitate and provide training to the workforce.
• Maintain and coordinate employee recognition programs.
• Respond to employee relations issues, including complaints and harassment allegations.
• Conduct exit interviews, analyze data, and recommend corrective actions for continuous improvement.
• Represent the company for unemployment claims.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university preferred.
• Minimum of three years related experience in Human Resources.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
