About the position

The HR Generalist is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management across various departments. This role encompasses several key areas including talent acquisition, fostering positive employee relations, organizational development, and training and education within a multistate environment. The HR Generalist will play a crucial role in ensuring that the human resources functions are effectively integrated with the overall business strategy, thereby enhancing employee engagement and organizational performance. In terms of talent acquisition, the HR Generalist will facilitate the full cycle recruitment process for upper management positions. This includes creating job descriptions, posting job openings, sourcing candidates through multiple recruitment channels, reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting both phone and in-person interviews. The role also involves developing and broadening recruitment channels to attract and retain quality talent, as well as managing contract negotiations with recruitment and temporary labor vendors. The HR Generalist will also provide guidance, coaching, and consultation to Branch and Regional Managers on various employee relation issues, including employee complaints and performance issues. This position requires maintaining in-depth knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations to reduce legal risks and ensure compliance. The HR Generalist will act as an advisor to employees and managers on a wide range of human resources issues, develop and manage the employee exit program, and analyze employee turnover. Additionally, the HR Generalist will be responsible for benefit management, which includes developing and managing a consistent benefits program that aligns with business needs and growth plans. This involves facilitating new hire benefits enrollment, auditing monthly benefit invoices, and ensuring that all HR communications regarding policies, procedures, and benefits are effectively disseminated throughout the company.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate full cycle recruitment for upper management positions including job descriptions, postings, sourcing, and interviews.
  • Develop and broaden recruitment channels to source and retain quality talents.
  • Provide guidance and consultation to Branch and Regional Managers on employee relation issues and best practices.
  • Maintain knowledge of federal and state employment laws to ensure compliance and reduce legal risks.
  • Act as an advisor to employees and managers on human resources issues.
  • Develop and manage the employee exit program and analyze employee turnover.
  • Conduct hiring reporting and analysis across the enterprise on a monthly basis.
  • Audit and run bi-weekly time & attendance for all personnel.
  • Respond to EDD notices and employment verifications in a timely manner.
  • Process salary, transfers, and promotion updates for management approval.
  • Develop and manage a consistent benefits program to align with business needs.
  • Facilitate new hire benefits enrollment and update appropriate carriers.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in human resources, business or related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a human resources coordinator position, preferably in the electronics or physical security industry.
  • Ability to initiate and manage HR policies and programs in compliance with company standards.
  • Strong communication skills (written, oral, and presentation).
  • Ability to plan, schedule, and execute multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio) and ADP.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves
