About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Human Resources Generalist to join our team in a new manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will support various HR functions, ensure compliance with company policies, and foster a positive workplace culture. This role requires strong bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while contributing to the overall success of the HR department.

Responsibilities

  • Support workforce of approximately 65 hourly and 8 salaried employees.
  • Engage employees and execute recognition programs.
  • Conduct employee relations investigations related to harassment and workplace violence.
  • Drive positive employee engagement through events and personal contact.
  • Interpret, design, and communicate HR policies.
  • Oversee administrative tasks related to workers compensation, short-term disability, and leave management.
  • Provide leadership support, consultation, and training.
  • Handle HR duties such as new hires, termination processing, and FMLA tracking.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Organizational Development, or Industrial/Organizational Psychology.
  • 4 years of progressive HR Generalist experience required.
  • Experience in a mid-sized (200+ employees) non-union warehouse/distribution center or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of current laws and regulations governing HR matters.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • PHR or SPHR Certification preferred.
  • Experience with a second chance employer is a plus.
