As a Human Resources Generalist at Walgreens, you will work under the direction of the HR Manager to provide comprehensive HR support across a variety of functions. Your role will encompass employee engagement, performance management, recruitment and selection, employee relations, compensation, employee benefits, training, and special HR projects as assigned. You will be expected to understand the business needs and how HR can influence and lead the organization to meet its key objectives. Compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations is paramount, and you will be responsible for maintaining this compliance while promoting best practices within the organization. In this position, you will build strong relationships with leaders and provide partnership to implement HR strategies, programs, and deliverables that align with business goals. You will offer coaching and guidance on organizational policies and practices, ensuring that all team members are informed about equal employment opportunities, sexual harassment policies, fair wage hour practices, and work conditions. You will also play a key role in fostering a culture of celebration, appreciation, and recognition to drive employee engagement. This includes supporting the launch of the annual engagement survey, analyzing results, and partnering with leadership to develop strategies that promote a positive workforce. The ability to work independently in ambiguous situations and make sound judgments will be crucial for success in this role. You will also mentor and help train less experienced HR staff, providing feedback on performance reviews and assisting with the selection of new team members.
