About the position

Jennie Stuart Health is seeking a dedicated and professional Human Resources Generalist to join our team. This full-time position is based at the JSH-Medical Center and involves performing HR-related duties at a professional level, supporting the hospital and clinics. The role encompasses various functional areas including employee relations, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment, and compliance with employment laws.

Responsibilities

  • Perform HR-related duties at a professional level.
  • Support senior HR management in various HR functions.
  • Manage daily functions of the HR department including hiring and onboarding.
  • Enforce company policies and practices.
  • Provide support and training in employee recruitment, hiring, retention, and relations.
  • Execute HR programs and assist with pre-hire and post-hire checks.
  • Conduct orientation and training for new employees.
  • Maintain knowledge of company policies and employment-related rules.
  • Coordinate leave administration and serve as a link between management and employees.
  • Conduct record audits and prepare mandatory reports.
  • Assist with performance review processes and maintain employee records.
  • Collect and compile HR metrics and data, preparing summary reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Social Work or related field required.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in a clerical, secretarial, or administrative position.
  • 1-2 years' Human Resource experience is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

Nice-to-haves

  • PHR/ SHRM-CP certification preferred.
  • Experience in healthcare or related industry is a plus.
  • Experience with HRIS and talent management systems is highly desirable.
