About the position

The Human Resources Generalist (HRBP) plays a crucial role in supporting the Human Resources site leadership by administering policies and programs across various HR functions. This includes change management, employment law, employee relations, labor law, labor relations, organizational development, salary administration, performance management, training, recruitment, and other HR-related initiatives. The HR Generalist will also coordinate new hire orientation, manage data entry into the HRIS System, process workday transactions, and report on leadership training initiatives while supporting site-wide engagement initiatives. The HR Generalist ensures compliance with company policies and procedures in staffing, employee relations, compensation, benefits, development, and training, aligning with Catalent Pharma Solutions' strategic and competitive needs. This role provides comprehensive HR services, fostering credible relationships with management and employees, supporting planning, problem-solving, and promoting open communication. The HR Generalist administers an effective performance management system to enhance employee and organizational productivity and develops training programs to build critical skills for current and future roles. In partnership with Catalent Global Compensation, the HR Generalist implements equitable reward systems that meet business demands and ensures legal compliance in employee relations. Additionally, the HR Generalist oversees employee documentation in compliance with internal and regulatory requirements, supports recruitment efforts, and manages the selection and placement process. Responsibilities also include developing and delivering new hire orientation and training programs, coordinating employee leave activities, and partnering with Payroll for accurate leave payouts. The HR Generalist facilitates Benefits Annual Open Enrollment, manages Workers Compensation processes, coordinates site engagement activities, and supports Site HR Leadership in various projects. Continuous analysis of HR metrics to identify trends and opportunities is essential, as is serving as a cultural change agent to improve organizational effectiveness while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to Human Resources site leadership in administering policies and programs in various HR areas.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and programs in staffing, employee relations, compensation, benefits, development, and training.
  • Foster credible relationships with management and employees, supporting planning and problem-solving.

  • Oversee employee documentation in compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
  • Support recruitment efforts and manage the selection and placement process.
  • Develop and deliver new hire orientation and training programs.
  • Coordinate employee leave activities and partner with Payroll for accurate leave payouts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant discipline (e.g., Human Resources, Business Management or equivalent) is required.
  • Minimum of 5+ years' experience in human resources required.
  • Experience in a supervisory or management role is a plus.
  • Exposure to the pharmaceutical, healthcare or related technical industries is preferred.
  • Experience supporting a manufacturing environment (24x7 scheduling variations) is preferred.
  • Demonstrable leadership experience at Catalent may be considered in place of external experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification is a plus.
