About the position

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management within designated business units. This role serves as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues, acting as an employee champion and change agent. The HRBP assesses and anticipates HR-related needs, proactively communicating with the HR department and business management to develop integrated solutions that deliver value-added services reflecting the organization's business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Provides the full scope of human resource services to assigned work units, including recruitment, employee development, employee relations, compensation & benefits, workforce planning, reward and recognition, and performance management.
  • Consults with managers on human resource issues, acting as the primary HR contact for all HR-related needs.
  • Provides consultation to employees on HR-related issues, assisting in resolving concerns and ensuring accurate documentation of complaints.
  • Screens and interviews applicants to recommend top candidates to managers, planning and executing recruitment activities to increase the applicant pool.
  • Involved in the delivery of new hire onboarding orientation.
  • Completes and enters process flows for partners in their areas of recruitment, confirming new hire eligibility for licensure and education.
  • Conducts thorough investigations regarding complaints/allegations and prepares accurate documentation, recommending appropriate actions.
  • Represents the company at unemployment and EEOC hearings, coordinating information with legal counsel as needed.
  • Contributes to and completes special projects, maintaining an active role in the Human Resource community of the company market area.
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years HR experience required.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Certification in SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, SPHR®, or PHR® is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Advanced HR certifications such as SHRM-SCP or SPHR.
