About the position

ORIX Corporation USA is seeking a versatile HR Generalist II specializing in compliance and global mobility management. This role, reporting to the HR Operations Manager, focuses on ensuring compliance across HR operations, enhancing organizational processes, and managing domestic and international relocations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and passionate about human resources, with a drive to identify and solve compliance challenges while contributing to the optimization of HR functions.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular audits to identify process gaps or areas of improvement.
  • Propose and implement solutions to mitigate risks, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
  • Review, update, and create HR Operations Policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Manage documentation to ensure compliance with legal standards.
  • Provide support across the entire employee lifecycle, including onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Respond to escalated employee inquiries using the Workday case management system.
  • Lead initiatives to streamline and optimize HR processes.
  • Collaborate with Centers of Excellence (COEs) to implement best practices and standardize procedures.
  • Manage domestic and international relocations in collaboration with external vendors.
  • Work with legal counsel on sponsorship applications and visa processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in HR program maintenance and execution, focusing on audit and compliance.
  • Strong optimization mindset with the ability to identify areas for improvement.
  • Professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant HR systems or software.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience with HRIS, preferably Workday.
  • Experience with DocuSign.
  • Prior experience in financial services or a related industry.
  • Experience supporting onboarding, project support, and customer service in HR operations.
