The Human Resources Generalist II provides human resources leadership and consultation to management on the people-related matters that impact the business. This role is essential in fostering a positive work environment and ensuring that the company's human resources policies align with its strategic goals. The individual in this position is expected to maintain professionalism and confidentiality while building strong business partnerships with both employees and management. The HR Generalist II will work on various projects and tasks aimed at helping employees thrive in their professional, financial, physical, and emotional well-being. A significant focus of this role is on employee relations, claims handling, and leave management. In this position, the HR Generalist II will partner with leaders to understand talent needs, business direction, HR metrics, and trends, as well as organizational strategy. This understanding will enable the HR Generalist to identify appropriate organizational changes, create workforce plans, and meet business objectives effectively. The role requires a thorough understanding of Martin's internal policies and procedures to provide guidance to employees and leaders. The HR Generalist will also provide day-to-day coaching and guidance to supervisors and management on people-oriented matters, including coaching, leadership expectations, career development, and disciplinary actions. The HR Generalist II will read, analyze, and provide recommendations regarding changes in federal, state, and local mandated regulations within the Human Resources disciplines. They will develop and analyze human resources trend data to make proactive recommendations on company-wide changes, including policy and benefit changes. Acting as a key change agent, the HR Generalist will lead successful implementations for new and changing policies and procedures, both within the HR department and company-wide. Additionally, they will work with HR Analysts to research, evaluate, and roll out new modules that enhance the functionality of HRIS systems to meet business requirements. Identifying training gaps within the company and developing and conducting training to meet those needs is another critical responsibility of this role. The HR Generalist will enact Martin's benefit programs in accordance with company policy and local, state, and federal law. They will champion Martin's culture and lead discussions and problem-solving efforts to enhance employee engagement. Auditing human resources programs for adherence to laws and working with other HR team members to achieve department strategic goals and metrics are also key aspects of this position. The HR Generalist will define and document HR business processes and procedures clearly, ensuring high customer satisfaction while working with diverse internal customers.
