As the agency HR Manager, you will provide subject matter expertise to managers and employees on a wide range of HR activities including recruitment, employee relations, workforce planning, compensation, FMLA, performance management, and payroll administration. You will develop effective working relationships with CAP managers, employees, other DPWES employees, county HR department staff, and other county organizations. Understanding and interpreting employment federal, state, and local laws and county HR policies will be crucial in this role. You will facilitate and manage agency recruitments, providing guidance and direction to managers on recruitment, interviews, documentation, and selection processes. Additionally, you will provide counsel and guidance to managers and employees on employee relations issues and work with management to coordinate workforce planning and strategic planning efforts. Conducting research and analysis, you will make recommendations on recruitment, employee relations, classification, and compensation issues while supervising professional and administrative HR staff. Discretion and confidentiality in all duties and responsibilities are paramount.
