About the position

ORIX Corporation USA is seeking a versatile and dynamic HR Generalist III - Senior Associate level who specializes in process optimization and project management. This multifaceted role is positioned under the guidance of the HR Operations Manager and requires a keen attention to detail along with a broad skill set in HR practices. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing HR projects and operations, driving process optimization strategies, and leveraging technology and best practices. In this role, the HR Generalist will act as a collaborative partner, providing leadership and support for HR projects from conception to implementation and evaluation, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. The candidate will participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and provide feedback, driving change management to ensure effective adoption of implemented solutions. The position also involves identifying and implementing process optimization strategies, designing, executing, and maintaining HR programs and initiatives, and constantly seeking ways to optimize HR processes while contributing to the development and training of the workforce. Additionally, the HR Generalist will manage vendor interactions, assist in job postings and onboarding of contingent workers, and help develop and execute statements of work (SOW) or service agreements. The role includes conducting impact analysis, drafting and sending separation packages via DocuSign, and monitoring the execution of terms and conditions. The candidate will lead auditing and data validation efforts to ensure the highest standards of data integrity, conduct root cause analysis, and provide insights to management through analytical skills and integration of HR metrics and trends. Furthermore, the HR Generalist will conduct the annual review of policies and procedures, execute updates to training materials, and develop content as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and support for HR projects from conception to implementation and evaluation.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and provide feedback.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR certification.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in HR program maintenance and execution, with a strong emphasis on audit and compliance.
  • Optimization mindset with the ability to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Professional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with individuals at all levels within the organization.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant systems or software.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize assignments, and to meet critical and established deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and to use discretion in daily activities.
  • Strong passion for learning and an ability to quickly apply new concepts to resolve complex problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a high-performance team.
  • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and constant interruptions.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience with HRIS, preferably Workday.
  • Experience with DocuSign.
  • Prior experience in financial services or a related industry is a plus.
  • Prior experience in Human Resources, supporting onboarding, project support, and customer service is highly desirable.
  • Relevant experience in HR operations, particularly in compliance, global mobility, or related areas.
