The Human Resources Generalist maintains and enhances the Dealership's HR Department by implementing and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices. This position interacts daily with the HR Director, General Manager, and all other team members who are a part of the Rahal organization.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the recruitment life-cycle, including creating job descriptions, sourcing, interviewing, selecting qualified candidates, and preparing offer letters.
  • Maintains organization staff by improving recruiting, testing, and interview programs.
  • Conducts orientation for new hires.
  • Ensures planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; scheduling management conferences with employees as needed; hearing and resolving employee grievances; counseling employees and supervisors.
  • Administers COBRA and maintains employee benefits programs.
  • Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements.
  • Maintains human resource records by maintaining a filing and retrieval system.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops.
  • Represents the organization at various personnel-related hearings and investigations.

Requirements

  • Exceptional Communication and Interpersonal Skills.
  • Strong Organizational Skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Benefits Administration experience.
  • HRIS Experience is desirable.
  • PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
