About the position

The Human Resources Generalist will support the daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) Department, which includes a variety of responsibilities such as HRIS administration, onboarding and offboarding staff, processing payroll, and managing health and welfare benefits including open enrollment and leave of absence. The role requires up-to-date knowledge of and compliance with Federal, State, and local labor laws and regulations, as well as Cenero policies. The HR Generalist will handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff. In addition to HRIS management, which involves maintaining the system, implementing process improvements, ensuring data quality, and analyzing and reporting on HRIS data, the HR Generalist will work directly with brokers on benefits management, including annual Open Enrollment and new hire enrollment. This position also requires the individual to be a subject matter expert in responding to team member questions and creating communications. The HR Generalist will administer all aspects of the 401(k), ensuring data accuracy, communications, employee deferrals, audits, compliance testing, and 5500 reporting, including tracking and acknowledgment of money transfers. The role also involves supporting the HR team with high-volume overflow from shared email inboxes, coordinating leave of absences, disabilities, and/or restricted duties or ADA accommodations with employees and managers. The HR Generalist will assist in processing payroll and Prevailing Wage/Certified Payroll, answering employee questions, auditing for errors, and distributing checks. Compliance reporting, including EEOC, AAP, and OFCCP, is also part of the responsibilities. The position is on-site five days a week at the company’s location in Malvern, PA.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating Job Aids, How to Guides, and FAQ sheets for employees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Three to five years of human resource experience required.
  • Payroll processing experience required.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to quickly learn payroll processing and HRIS applications, Ultipro experience preferred.
